Upon deciding to sell an investment property within Uxbridge I immediately began searching for a low-cost venue of advertising. I settled upon a local sell-your-own-home franchise. Over the next 335 days, we had more than 100 viewings, approximately 10 of those with Realtors. I did not receive any offers from Realtors. All other offers were immediately rejected for being considerably less than list price. Due to complications with tenants, I realized potential buyers need the assistance of a professional Realtor. We listed with Kelly Meek at a new higher price. Seven days later we had an offer above the listed price with no unreasonable conditions attached. Due to a favourable commission schedule I received more proceeds from the sale than I had ever anticipated. With Ms. Meek's professional advice and knowledge of the real estate marketplace and Landlord and Tenant Act. I assisted the buyer's eviction of tenants. Previously I did not understand the Act accurately and realized I needed the professional services Ms. Meek has to offer as a Realtor. I also noticed Kelly Meek had an excellent memory for details, a very helpful asset. I have a friend who is possibly interested in selling her home. She is in Beaverton and has a lovely waterfront property. The house is cute but needs work but the property is lovely. I believe she bought the property several years ago for $450,000. She is in a state of confusion because she now owns a condo in Markham and has decided that she may not sell the house in Beaverton. However, she also has a friend who wants to sell her home on Maple Beach.

I had the fortunate experience of meeting Kelly Meek about four years ago. At that time I expressed an interest in her giving us an opinion on our house as we knew the time would come to sell. She came to the house and gave us some goad advice on improving our house and curb appeal.

From time to time over the next few years I saw Kelly and she visited to view upgrades that we had made. We so greatly appreciated her never pushing us to rush into selling, but just offering encouragement and sound advice.

In the tail of 2009 we got very serious about selling, and Kelly came again. This time we set a deadline for ourselves. We had many questions and Kelly answered promptly.

Most houses sit in Zephyr for months before selling. We were astonished that we sold so quickly. Kelly had everything up and running on the internet with pictures very quickly, gave us feedback after every showing, did an open house when we requested, left as a please remove boots sign, and told us it was ok to cry when we signed the "sold" papers for the house we have lovingly lived in for 23 years.

Dust wanted too take a moment to let you know how wonderful it has been to work with Kelly Meek. She is super professional and ultra competent. But more than that, she is very compassionate and empathetic in dealing with clients. She understands how difficult and emotional the sale of your home can be, the stress in finding a new one and the special needs of my mother (and my two elderly dogs!).

I don't know how or why people sell homes on their own, there are so many potential pitfalls; lust as I would not represent myself in court. I would much prefer to have professional guidance In selling or buying a home.
